This past April, I took a business trip to New York City to meet with General Fabrics. During the meeting, I gave a proposal that led to a presentation in front of the company’s owners, the head of product development, the head of marketing and sales, as well as the head of design.
I am pleased to announce that as of last week, I now have my own personal fabric brand and separate division within General Fabrics called The Norman Wyatt Signature Collection.
My Signature Collection debuts October 2016 in Houston Texas, at the International Quilt and Fabric Market. This new venture gives me the opportunity to create and design fabric collections under my own personal brand, thus solidifying my goal of becoming a brand in itself for the decor market.
I’m extremely grateful and I thank God for allowing me to have the faith, courage, and zeal to call the head of product development and simply state “I have an idea. I would like to have my own fabric brand.”
